West Seattle/Los Angeles filmmaker Jamie Burton Chamberlin is shooting a new rock ‘n’ roll film – explained here. He shared the photo from a shoot last week at Morgan Junction’s own Feedback Lounge (WSB sponsor), adding, ” We will be shooting around West Seattle and downtown over the next several weeks.” In fact, you could find yourself part of it, if this announcement he included sounds like you:

Though the film centers on rocker Duff McKagan‘s current group Loaded, it’s not a documentary – Chamberlin shared his synopsis, and you can read it after the jump:

THE LOADED PROJECT
Film Synopsis- (10/4/10)

The “Loaded Project” (working title) is a feature film currently being developed by Loaded Frontman-Duff McKagan, Sanctuary Manager-Rick Canny, and Filmmaker-Jamie Chamberlin.

Set in the contemporary landscapes of Seattle and the Pacific Northwest, the project borrows from timeless Rock and Roll films such as The Beatles “A Hard Days Night” and Led Zeppelin’s “The Song Remains the Same”. Whimsical by nature, the film explores the lyrical content in LOADED’s soon to be released third studio album.

When the band assembles to discuss an important performance just days away they are alerted to the fact that their drummer (Isaac Carpenter) has been incarcerated in a foreign country for an innocent mistake… The situation is serious and stakes are high! With time ticking against them, the band decides to rely on their on devises to raise money for his release.

With the introduction of a rare energy drink from Peru, the band makes a toast to “Free Isaac.” Little do they know that the warning label on this particular beverage reveals it is far from being FDA approved and more so may cause “drowsiness, dementia, hallucinations, and illusions of grandeur.”

Fueled by the ingredients of this foreign elixir, the band sets into motion a series of exploits and debacle that blur the lines between dreams and reality. Foiled heists, high-speed chases, and unexpected cameos all ensue leading them crashing desperately into the finale of a “last ditch” effort.

Each “vignette” in the Loaded project will be tied to the next in a cohesive story line. The inter-cutting of full band, in-studio performance will allow each song to also stand independently. The film’s feel will meld aspects of documentary, music video, and live performance.

Will the band succeed? Will Isaac make it back in time for the show? Stay tuned to find out!
