Help West Seattle pets find their way home

The past 36 or so hours have been by far the “busiest” ever for the West Seattle Blog Pets page – SEVEN new reports of lost or found pets, including 2 birds. This link takes you right to the lost/found listings; maybe you can help reunite one of these pets with its people.

yeah, our cat escaped from the house (39th/Ida) tonight for the first time in years too. He usually returns within a few hours but if not I’ll submit a pic for a listing in the morning.

Strange about all the runaways today, I hope an earthquake or something isn’t on the way! (j/k, sort of).

hope its not true, but there has been a popular theory in the last few years that the number of lost pets increasing precludes an earthquake.

On the way home this past week, I saw four different dogs out on the streets without owners. I’ve lived her for almost six years and had only seen one loose dog around here prior. So that struck me as kind of odd.

Aside from people opening their windows/doors because of the warmer weather, it was the first week since school let out. So, maybe it’s in part due to more traffic in and out of the house and that kids are just forgetting to check that gates and doors are secured for the pets.

Just a reminder and request that people list names of lost pets. It can be helpful if we think we’ve seen them to know what to call them.

Sorry, comment time is over.
