One more addition: Pets page

For the first time in a while, a “lost pet” e-mail landed in the WSB inbox this morning, reminding us we had been meaning to add a West Seattle Pets section. As with everything else, this page is starting small, with room to grow (room for pet fun and pet info as well as lost/found). Please go there to see “Nico” the lost kitty in case he turns up at your house. 11 PM UPDATE: “Nico” is back home safe; we’re continuing to add features to the pet page, including a link to the WSB Pet Photos group on Flickr that we just set up in case you want to upload pet pix for potential showcasing (we started with a pic of our 2 cats).

you know, WSB, you are truly amazing, to add all these wonderful things. This is turning into the most wonderful source of information and so much more for all of us on the peninsula. Can’t give you enough praise..really…

Question: Does the WSB abode have a sturdy and expansive fireplace mantle?

I think one is certainly going to be needed to display all the trophies and plaques that are sure to be coming from upcoming “Best of’s….” from various media sources.

No more of those little “fourth place” mentions! ;)

Mike and Jan, that’s very kind of you. Our 3 Emmy Awards are actually on a shelf over the dryer … this is kind of a small house … our spelling bee trophy from 6th grade has a slightly more prestigious spot near the dining table. But seriously, the ONLY thing that matters to us is that WSB is considered useful and interesting enough for everyone to keep coming back (and for more people to keep finding us), and then (on the practical side of matters) for enough advertisers to sponsor the site to cover our living expenses so we can keep doing it fulltime. So we’re working like mad to live up to our motto of West Seattle news, information & discussion 24/7/365. Thanks for your support!
