The forecast said breezy, not blustery

The forecast only called for 10-20 mph wind (at least as of this writing). But it sounds a lot stronger than that out here in west-facing south West Seattle, and indeed, according to this real-time Beach Drive station, it’s in the 30s right now, with gusts into the 40s.

I’m on Pigeon Point Hill facing north and the winds are REALLY whipping up. The winds are definitely stronger than 20mph. It’s kind of scary!

The wind sounds great here at the top of the hill above Fauntleroy! Sitting in my study working on my stamps I can hear the howling outside. Makes the house feel especially cozy. I have a wind guage but it only reads every 2-3 minutes, not constantly, so misses most of the gusts. When it reads 10-15 mph I know its probably gusting double or triple that.

Sorry, comment time is over.
