Repaving, morning 1

Cones and crews are out on Cali from just north of Spokane, south to the post office. (Photo below is from the north edge of this morning’s work zone.) The truck that’s chewing up the old pavement is making fast work of the eastern edge of the road, for starters. Things were moving fairly well when we passed through; but if you just need to get between North WS and South WS, certainly you could try alternate routes such as Beach Drive or 35th.

Looping down Avalon and up Admiral might be a good choice for many folks too.

How about build a new viaduct right down California? :>)

Or, to get from the Gatewood/Morgan area, to Admiral, one could take the Fauntleroy Ferry to Southworth, drive to Bremerton, catch that Boat to Colman Dock Downtown, then drive along Alaskan Way, over the Bridge, then up Admiral Way.

Note: In the interest of saving time, try to catch an Express Boat to Southworth, (direct route, doesn’t stop at Vashon) and be sure to take the High-Level Bridge, to avoid possible openings of the Swing Bridge. ;-)

Sorry, comment time is over.
