squareeyesParticipantThere are so many teriyaki joints in WS that I’m paralyzed by choice and have, therefore, not tried any. What’s your favorite and what makes it so special?
I used to get a great teriyaki bowl (in another state) that had rice on the bottom, then the chicken, a few pieces each of steamed vegetables and tempura vegetables, and then the sticky sweet sauce drizzled on top. I’d love to find something similar in WS.
I’ve only had takeout teriyaki at one place in [downtown] Seattle and the veggie accompaniment was oily cabbage. I’m a cabbage fan, just not so much when it’s greasy and al dente.
Thanks for your recommendations!

JenVMemberMy fave is Yummy Teriyaki at the south end of the Junction. They don’t use msg (I am allergic) and they use lots of veggies. Try the chicken asparagus! Steer clear of Yasuko’s at the tip of the WS Bridge…unless you like critters in the kitchen!

AnonymousInactiveOur all time favorite place is Yummy Teriyaki in the Junction, they chicken and beef is so tender and tasty and not too salty. The people are very friendly and warm and the location couldn’t be better since you can literally spend the day shopping, eat and meeting new people.

FranciParticipantI don’t remember the name, but I like the Teriyaki place at Jackson Square. Its next to the Subway shop, near the corner of 42nd and Alaska.

WSBKeymasterI think we’ve had this discussion before :) Nonetheless, we always like to chime in that New Teriyaki and Wok in Morgan Junction is our fave – one member of the family prefers the Chicken Katsu, another the General Tso’s, another the Kung Pao Chicken. Nice people too. Although once in a while, the teriyaki half-chicken from Yasuko’s at 35th/Fauntleroy just hits the spot.

squareeyesParticipantI sheepishly realized that the question had already been asked after my initial post. The other thread didn’t come up when I used the search box. Sorry for the topic-duplication!
