And leaves are to trees
Connected with branches
You’ll find one of these.

ellenaterMemberDefinitely a library. Not sure which one. SW has that sculpture set in the front but I can’t remember what exactly is there.

MargLMemberI’m thinking it’s one of the 5 bronze hands in front of the Southwest Library. The background would -have- to be photoshopped or it’d give it away immediately – because there’s the distinctive color of the building and the words embedded in the sidewalk in front of each hand.
Pictures of the hands being cast?

Yes, it was “photoshopped.” I felt I had to do that or it would have been just a little too easy.
Here are some other views of the same piece:

Here’s another one of the sculptures, which together comprise a set of, I think, five:

Here’s an example of the engraved words you mentioned, MargL:

I thought about using one of those, but I didn’t have enough time to do it right, with a tripod and all.

MargLMemberI love that the hands were cast from active library patrons and not just ‘professional hand models’

We have since lost two of the models, Mary Ellen and Dennis.
And I know who’s hand holds the book!
