herongrrrlParticipantWhich of our WS yoga studios offers prenatal yoga, and has anyone been to any of the classes?
I’ve already looked at 8 Limbs and their schedule doesn’t work for me. Sound Yoga sounds promising, though, has anyone worked with them? Or others that they loved?

OliverMemberThe YMCA occassionally has a prenatal yoga class, although I don’t think they currently have one. If you can’t find a yoga class, I highly recommend prenatal aqua-aerobics at the YMCA. I think it’s on Tuesdays from 7:30-8:30 p.m. It’s mostly in the shallow end of the pool so no great swimming skills are needed. It’s a great, no stress workout and great opportunity to meet other local expectant moms. I did the class with my second pregnancy but not my first and gained a lot less weight the second time around. Plus, the teacher (Jill) is fantastic.

roguedeluxMemberI have been taking Level II yoga at 8 Limbs on the corner of California and Alaska, and they have Prenatal Yoga classes http://www.8limbsyoga.com. Since I am also about to transition to these classes, I found that 1) you need to be registered (but there is no beginning or end to a series), and the cost is $100 for 8 classes (expires 6 months after purchase). I believe they have a class Wednesday and Sunday evening.
I have also heard (from a friend who just delivered) great things about the prenatal water aerobics class at the YMCA.
I’d be interested to see what else is recommended here.

LaurellaMemberI go to classes at Sound Yoga and can recommend Karie, who teaches the prenatal class, as well as others. Class sizes are small and the teachers all are excellent at working with the abilities, physical limitations and moods of the students.
