For five years I’ve lived in a neighborhood realtors call, “Belvidere.” But I’ve never heard anyone else call it that. What is my neighborhood called? North of the bridge, south of Admiral, on the east side, facing the city–so between maybe 30th and 40th avenues. What do other people call this? Is there a map somewhere of West Seattle neighborhoods? I have never figured out where “Genesee” is, either. Many thanks.

Citizen – That is considered Belvidere, welcome. :)

Someone else will have to help you with Genesee, though. I’ve only lived here a little over a year (and a lot of that time I’ve spent in another state).

I’ve always called it Belvidere and have heard lots of people (not realators) call it that)

Yep, that’s the place. Named after the late Mr. Belvidere.

the last post in the link got Belvedere pretty good. I think that prior to the hot housing market the southern boundary was Charleston…but Realtors moved it south to where ever they could get away with.
