    Hi,

I’m new to West Seattle (and Seattle overall). Is it true that there is no full-time hospital in West Seattle? Where do you go if you need help after 8PM?

Most of the central Seattle hospitals are clustered up on First Hill, which is just across the bridge. Your options are Harborview (regional trauma center), Swedish, or Virginia Mason. They are all less than 10 miles from the bridge.

Yes it is true, but you also have the Highline Hospital in Burien just off of 160th and Sylvester Road SW. They’re good for minor aliments sprains, breaks…

Highline is now owned by CHI Franciscan and they have upgraded to a first class hospital. I just had hip replacement there and I was highly impressed by the care that I received.

Swedish and Virginia Mason are great a well, just can be a challenge at times with traffic and all.

Thank you for the information! I had wondered about the one down the peninsula, so it’s nice to know it’s good. I guess the ones in the central district aren’t that far away, but it would be nice not to have to cross the bridge.
