Awesome Nanny Seeks Wonderful Family for Full Time Work or Nanny Share!

Hi my name is Tiffany and I am looking for a full-time Nanny position starting immediately! I love kids and families – I have been a teacher, tutor, nanny, camp leader, housesitter, petsitter, and babysitter for the last 4 years since I finished grad school. I have a Washington State Teaching Certificate as well as a Master’s in Education. Yes, I really do! :) For the last 2 1/2 years I have worked at a local Montessori School as a Teaching Assistant. During the summer months I lead summer camps through the school as well as tutor and babysit for families I know through the school. This place has been wonderful as far as community building! I absolutely love the kids and parents I have gotten to know over the years! Unfortunately I can’t pay my bills on the salary, so I have decided I need to move on.

As a nanny I am adventurous and fun. When I have nannied before, I have enjoyed taking kids to parks, libraries, zoos, plays, ferry rides, beaches, museums – anything really. I like to read Parent Map or Seattle With Kids and find fun things for us to do together. I don’t like to be bored and don’t want the kids to feel that way either. I LOVE reading and arts and crafts, so that is definitely emphasized under my care. Since I am a teacher, I would make sure there is time for learning each day. That just comes naturally to me. My hobbies are reading, swimming, kayaking, travelling, and enjoying art, culture and music. I believe art is not a luxury, but should be a part of everyday life. I am certainly a more fulfilled person by living by this idea of finding beauty in everything! I have found kids respond positively to this idea too!

I have lots of references available. Some I have been a nanny for, others a tutor or housesitter, or all of the above. If this sounds like someone you would like working for your family please contact me so we can get to know each other! My rate is $18-$20/hour and I am looking for a position that includes 2 weeks paid vacation/year so I can satisfy my wanderlust, and also come back refreshed and happy so I can be a better nanny for your children. I am also open to being a nanny on family vacations, if you need one.
