WEST SEATTLE SCENE: Tribute to Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg

Thanks to the reader who just emailed that photo, reporting that someone has left flowers and a sign at the Alki Statue of Liberty in memory of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. The statue has been a magnet for other civic tributes in the past (as shown in our coverage archive), most notably after 9/11.

I’m so glad to see this.  What an incredible woman, and what a loss to our country and to the Supreme Court, which has become ever more reliant on the balance and integrity she brought to the position.  We must fight VEHEMENTLY  to prevent the White House horror show from installing another political extremist to the court.

As a proud republican And Trump supporter I can say she was an impressive woman. She will be sorely missed

What a lovely tribute to a hero, Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I hope this spurs thoughts and discussions abut her sacrifices for justice for all people.   Peace be upon her.
