TRAFFIC ALERT: Crash at 19th and Dawson

Another serious crash – this time in the 1900 block of SW Dawson [map]. Someone has been extricated from a vehicle and Dawson is blocked off, per police radio, between 18th and 21st.

Woke up to flashing blue lights. There’s always cars wrecklessly flying up and down this street, ignoring speed bumps. Given wet conditions and a weekend.. i’m not too surprised. Hope everyone is ok though.

I agree with WS Guy – this is a scary busy street. My kids and I walk to school and with the narrow (overgrown) sideways and heavy usage I’m always trying to get them to scoot along quickly. My other concern is the lack of cross walks on 18th & Dawson at the bus stop – not only is the intersection used for City Buses but also several School Buses! Amazed there isn’t one! I’ve filed a requested on find it fix it app – if anyone else feels the same please do the same. Do hope all are okay from accident!
