This weekend’s local high-school football wrapped up with Seattle Lutheran‘s homecoming game Saturday afternoon at West Seattle Stadium. Rainier Christian went home with a 44-6 victory, but the Saints had some bright spots. They rallied late in the game, with their sole touchdown from #10 Roberto Duenaz (top photo), who ran back a Rainier Christian kickoff in the third quarter for the TD.

Also in the second half, quarterback #3 Isaiah Dowding-Albrecht (photo above) ran well; #88 Josh Meyer (photo below) had an interception and critical pass reception that jumpstarted the Saints offense:

Otherwise, Rainier Christian had a solid ground game that saw them score in the first minute of the game. Late in the game, Lutheran found some holes in their defense, but it was not enough. Ahead, our photos of the Saints’ homecoming royalty, plus, what’s next in the season:

Seniors Eric Shi, Daniel Maris, Taira Togashi King, Angel Cucio, Carol Sasai, Michelle Carlin:

Juniors Denisse Gonzales and Jacob Fay:

Sophomores Ally Warnke and Roberto Duenaz:

SLHS is back at home November 1st for the season’s last game, against Muckleshoot.
