Play golf, help kids! Tournament at West Seattle Golf Course

Just received from Seattle Parks – news of a fundraising tournament at West Seattle Golf Course September 22nd, to help make sure more kids can afford Parks’ programs – read on for the announcement:

Seattle Parks and Recreation’s 2012 Youth Scholarship Fund Golf Tournament takes place at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 22 at West Seattle Golf Course, 4470 35th Ave. SW.

The tournament entrance fee is $65. It is a four-person scramble conforming to USGA rules, and will be accompanied by contests, challenges, competition prizes, a raffle, a hole-in-one entry, and post-event refreshments.

Proceeds support scholarships for low-income youth so they can participate in Parks and Recreation youth programs, including sports teams, summer day camps, the Camp Long Challenge Course, environmental education programs, tennis lessons, swim lessons, child care programs and more.

Co-sponsors are Seattle Sounders FC, West Seattle Golf Course, the Seattle Seahawks and the Associated Recreation Council (ARC).

    On that same day, Holy Rosary will be hosting their own charity tournament benefiting the Father Mallahan Endowment Fund. A great day of charity at the West Seattle Golf Course.
