Mark was an amazingly positive influence on his friends, coworkers, family. Since his passing last week I have heard so many people comment on his support and friendship, his love of music and his sense of humor, his caring attitude and his commitment to others. And that smile – such infectious fun. A life well lived, a life cut short, a life we should aspire to emulate.

Mark was one of the first people I met when I moved to Seattle in 1996. He was an incredible friend who always put others first. He had a kind heart and was a leader. He will be sorely missed by all who had the honor of meeting him.

I know Mark is looking down on us and saying, “Stop that, stop that crying!” He was really someone that was thoughtful and always had a smile on his face. He cared deeply for his wife, whom he always told our work crew, “was so beautiful” and “way too smart” for him. He always talked about his girls and the funny things they would say as they grew up and how cute they were. He loved them so much. I was honored to know him.

Hi dad, I miss you everyday. Even though I can’t see or hear you I know you have not really left us. You are in every smile, every tear, every laugh, every positive thought, and all our hearts. I love you forever. (Thanks for posting this Shakura)

Thank you everyone for all the support and for all the beautiful comments that you left on the page. For those of you who didn’t know my father Mark Adams, I can sum it up into one phrase. He was my hero. For those of you who do, you know how honorable of a man my father was. Loving, kind, supportive…He was everything I could ask for in a dad. Even though we can not make more memories as the years go by without him, all the ones I do have, will be held dear to my heart. I love you dad!

    My Dear Sweet Family,
My heart aches for your loss of your dear dad/husband/brother. Mark and I have had some differences, but we have always had love and respect for each other. It’s not easy to bring up three girls. I’m glad he had the strength to do it! Girls sometimes know how to wrap dad around their fingers, but he lovingly stood his ground, maybe giving in just a little, sometimes.
He knew how important education is and guided them wisely. We have all felt his strength and love and have all enjoyed his humor.

I know he’ll be always in your hearts and mine. When you smile, he’ll be smiling with you. His spirit and love will be with you always. Remember, LOVE does not die.

May you all find peace in your hearts, just knowing and feeling his love within you.

And may God feel you with His Holy Spirit and bring you peace.

    All my love forever,
    Amma, Mom, Marie

Mark was a great inspirer for so many different people. Never one to make sudden judgements, he always patiently let all sides contribute to a decision. This made him a wise man for so many in his life. Mark taught me to continue laughing, loving and enjoying family and friends even in the hardest of times. He helped me to learn to be humble and to try to first walk through the footsteps of others before I make any conclusions about them. I am truly sorry that this Earth has lost such a wonderful soul. Know that you left behind such beautiful children to carry your legacy of love for life here, on this Earth. Your children are truly wonderful. . . thanks to your love, wisdom and guidance! Take care my dear friend, you WILL be missed!

Sorry, comment time is over.
