News from the West Seattle Tool Library: Milestone ahead!

Three updates from Patrick Dunn with the West Seattle Tool Library, entering its first winter since its creation as a Sustainable West Seattle project. For one, they’re about to hit a membership milestone – and that includes some prizes you might be eligible to win! Second, a free workshop is ahead, and third, the Tool Library’s hours are changing this weekend. Read on for details on all of the above:

*The West Seattle Tool Library* *is fast approaching its 100th member*, and would like to thank everyone who has made this community resource such an early success! In honor of this upcoming achievement, The Tool Library will present its one hundredth member with:

– A $20 gift certificate to Junction True Value,
– An official Tool Library T-shirt, and
– An honorary lifetime membership.

With over 700 tools and a recent Best of Seattle award under its roof, The Tool Library is more capable than ever to help you take on all your fall and winter projects.

*The Tool Library will be hosting another* *“Ask an Expert” evening* this Thursday, October 14th, from 6-8 pm in the Chan Classroom at South Seattle Community College. Three West Seattle businesses will be on hand to answer all questions big and small in order to help you along in any of your home remodeling, water harvesting, or urban gardening projects. Everyone’s invited and all questions are welcome. To attend this informal event yo ucan either make an appointment to talk with an expert by writing to us at *library@sustainablewestseattle.org* or you can just drop in for a quick chat at any time.

*Also, as of Saturday, October 16th, The Tool Library will be switching to its off-season hours.* The Tool Library’s new hours will now be:

Saturdays 9 am-2 pm
Sundays 1 pm-5 pm
