West Seattle Christmas lights, 12/17/07

One week till Christmas Eve! If your dream would resemble a warm Christmas more than a white Christmas, check this out:

Thanks to Becky for the photo, which she reports is from “36th or 37th just south of Roxbury” — we’ve added that approximate location to our clickable, printable West Seattle Christmas lights map (find it on the WSB Holidays page), will try to nail it down more closely with an in-person visual tomorrow. With your help, we’ve now featured 30 displays, all archived here.

nice lights but i think the idea is rather stupid. Doesnt everyone dream of a white (SNOW) Christmas? And here they are with a snow man on a lounge chair? Whatever

I think it’s pretty funny! Lounging on a beach chair in a warm tropical climate sounds pretty good to me right now actually, and I love winter.

A white Christmas?? I spent 30+ Christmases buried in snow and I am DONE with a white Christmas. Give me the lounge chair & pina colada anytime!! I love it! By the way, it’s only lights, chill a little & try to keep the Christmas spirit, white or not.

Wow, never heard anyone criticize Christmas lights before. I think it’s great, creative, and given the choice, I’d be kicking back with a pina colada too.

Love it – and his margarita always stays frosty!

    I think it’s very clever!

“none young” = alias-speak for “Grinch”

I heard there used to be a second snowman lounging as well.

Old fool ordered a hot buttered rum instead of a margarita.

Did anyone get a more exact location of this fun beach snowman?

Sorry, comment time is over.
