artiedogParticipantHi, looking for any feedback from any of you who may have had interior/exterior doors and windows installed recently? The only option that I really see online so far is Seattle Door. Any recommendations and or non-recommendations would be great!
Thanks!

CBMemberI had all my windows replaced in 2006 by Signature Windows, they used to be in WS but moved to Bellevue. Very responsive and actually designed 3 large windows to replace 6 small ones. also replaced my back door. The installation crew for my job was fantastic. 425-766-1655. Cindi

MagpieParticipantI had Washington Energy put in a very large French door to my deck earlier this year and the crew they sent was sensational!! I love it, it fits perfectly and the installer had years of experience. He was top notch.

alki_2008ParticipantThere are places that have a wide selection of quality products, but their installers might be of an unequivalent level of quality. Do you want just installation, or did you want to buy the doors/windows from the same place?

malarkeyMemberAlki – is WA Energy a separate company where you bought the door and arranged installation or were they a contractor for one of the big box stores?
We need to replace our sliding glass door with a set of french doors, but every independent company we contact says we have to buy windows too – not just a door!
We’re a little leery about the quality of what we’ll get at a box store -both in product and installation.

mmatassaMemberWe just had a new front door installed on Friday by a terrific handyman — Mike Hincy of Insight Remodeling & Painting, 206-255-3366 — who Michelle found through a recommendation at Second Use. After a Snowmare delay, Mike had to reschedule but kept us posted and showed up exactly when he said he would be here. He did great work at a fair price. Highly recommended.

MagpieParticipantI went through Washington Energy and they didn’t try selling me anything else. There is a separate person who gives the bid and then the installer. The installer was amazing and the french doors are fabulous. The installer had years of experience and had 2 apprentices with him in the truck. I plan on using them again when I am in the market for windows, etc. They have a payment plan and an energy credit, on some items.

bsmommaParticipantJimmy, the owner of Yankee Construction does a great job. He’s local in West Seattle (North Admiral Area), licensed, insured and bonded. He’s Fair(in price), flexible (in time that works for you to install) and funny (great personality!). His # is (206)310-4986 and website is http://www.yankeeconstruct.com

adpParticipantI found this 3 year old thread with suggestions for window installers. I’m wondering if anyone has any updated recommendations of window installers. We have already purchased a couple standard size windows, but having some trouble installing.
