OK we know Federal funding is being reduced across the board. Sound Transit has a lot to finish with current funding & overrun costs continue.
How about West Seattle getting some cheap help for traffic flow by adding a short rail line to the west side of the river below the Spokane str. overpass with buses running as feeders to the greater West Seattle residents. Don’t go up the hill on Avalon avoiding construction and land acquisition costs in the business area. Or create a ParknRide lot like Buriens as a transit bus center and no light rail.

Is this just so that you don’t have to deal with “aggressive pan handlers” while walking around in the junction?

Please explain how a train to the Chelan Cafe and nowhere else would actually benefit anyone who actually needs transit.

I do like the idea of a park & ride though, if you provide your address I’ll make sure I suggest that area for the light rail that was voted in by the people..

I’ve thought this should be the plan all along. It makes no sense to cause such mass destruction at such enormous cost just to drag the rails a few more blocks up the hill – destroying the Junction as well.

Theres probably some obvious reason for them not doing this but… Why not have it be an underground station like they have on capital hill and parts of downtown. They didnt have to destroy westlake in order to run their train through there. If it wer far enough down there wouldnt even be much noise
