Interesting that the US is still all about cupcakes. Even in NYC. Cupcakes are still everywhere. Doughnuts are making a comeback though.
In Paris right now they’re all about the macaroons. That city is seriously crazy about them. And at 3 Euro each they’re not cheap.
Actually the appeal of Parisian macaroons must not be lost on West Seattlites either as Bakery Nouveau can barely keep theirs in stock. And they’re a relative bargain compared to what you’d pay in France. And they might be just as good if not better.

christopherboffoliParticipantI think Trophy’s shops are a little more meticulously designed. They also had an incredible Obama (Hope image) cupcake around election time that was stunning.

speaking of those macaroons- after clicking to the video of the (not) sea-monkeys, I saw the cool video about those macaroons. is that for another feature on WSB similar the Cafe Revo video? if so, can’t wait!
