I heard a rumor at lunch today that there is a new Thai restaraunt across the street from the WD Nursery callend Boontin Thai that delivers. We were wondering if anyone has tried it and what did they think about it.

Ran into an acquaintance the other day, who said he eats there. Really likes it. Said the food is good, the prices are low, and the portions are sizable. Haven’t tried it myself yet…

It’s not a new restaurant – it changed its name from Olarn late last year (but only put up the sign several weeks ago).

I ate there once probably 6-7 years ago. The food tasted so awful I threw it away and haven’t gone back. For me to throw away food it’s really gotta be bad. This place is only a few blocks from my home so if some firsthand favorable reviews get posted I’ll give them another try.

With all of the talk about hot weather, here’s a good first-hand review. Their salads are delish! They have a wok fried trout that is placed over a salad with a light Thai style vinagarette which is very good; and just right for a summer evening.

Another first hand report coming at you. Squareeyes, my husband and I had a similar experience a few years ago when we moved into the neighborhood and have not been back since. After seeing the name change and more people eating there we decided to check it out again tonight. We were not disappointed. It is not the best Thai food we have ever had but it was really good and we will definitely be back. The service was great too. Very friendly and attentive. I had the Massamun curry with fried tofu which we both loved. My husband got the Beef Pad See Ew. I wasn’t super impressed with that dish but he liked it. We also got the summer rolls which were very good. I would encourage people to give it a try.

I’ve been to Thailand and can say that this restaurant has the best Tom Kha Gai I’ve had in Seattle. The other dishes there are not good IMO. “Loose” Phad Thai with watery, tomato-y sauce for example. *blurgh*
