My son went here from age 2 1/2 until he went to kindergarten at age 5. He liked it, and I had no complaints. They have little turnover in teachers, and the small setting was just right for my son. He was in a large daycare before that and it wasn’t a good fit for him.

The Montessori philosophy gave my son a lot of life skills, from help with potty training to making him more self-sufficient at things like putting on and zipping up his jacket, fine motor control, etc. Academically, they let students progress at their own pace–some go to Kindergarten already reading, while others go with at least a good foundation for learning to read (my son was in the latter category). They have high expectations for behavior, which I think is a good thing.

The owner is also flexible on summer schedules, and she’s willing to work with you and any concerns you might have. We still keep in touch, even though my son is now in second grade, and he still has good friends from the school that he sees, even though the kids now go to various different elementary schools.
