“Music for the Soul” Saturday, March 15, 8 pm at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle
Inspired to present a concert that creates a place of solace, meditation, prayer and hope, the Northwest Symphony Orchestra invites you to this season’s “Music for the Soul” on Saturday, March 15 at 8 pm in the beautiful surroundings of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in West Seattle. The Northwest Symphony Orchestra, joined by ChoralSounds Northwest and four stellar soloists will perform Dvorak’s profound Stabat Mater. Additional pieces include Rachmaninoff’s Bogoroditse Devo (Hail Mary, Full of Grace), arranged for brass ensemble by local composer Jon Boysen (world premiere), selected choral works, and Schubert’s moving Du bist die Ruh- with NWSO principal horn William Farmer as soloist. This concert will feature 145 performers and is the perfect prelude to the Easter season
