What is the origin of the air raid/tsunami like siren at 6:30-ish this morning in north Delridge?

Follow-on questions about air raid/tsunami warning sirens:  Does Seattle have a warning system in place for tsunami?  It would behoove them to share it with its residents who live close to the water.  Being one who would be immediately affected, it’s something that I think about in the middle of the night.

A reminder amid the holiday hustle and bustle:

    STOP FOR PEDESTRIANS

Don’t drive through–or idle on–the crosswalk when they’re waiting for it. Don’t drive/turn in their direction, stop suddenly just a few feet away, and then give yourself a pat on the back. Don’t park your car on the sidewalk with hazard lights because your holiday errand is really important.

Treat pedestrians like they’re doing you a big favor–they are.
