WEST SEATTLE CRIME WATCH: Man hospitalized after shooting in apartment

8:52 PM: Police are investigating a shooting inside the Stewart Manor apartment building at 34th/Morgan. A man was taken to the hospital after the shooting was reported inside one of the units around 7 pm. No suspect or circumstances information so far; we’re checking with SFD to find out what condition the victim was in when transported.

11:11 PM: SFD says the victim, in his mid-20s, was in serious condition when transported to Harborview.

ADDED THURSDAY MORNING: SPD has since posted this about the incident; the only specific beyond what we reported already was that the man was found in a hallway.

Interested in any updates – I was picking up a friend at Holiday senior living right when all the police were speeding to the location – there must have been 8 police vehicles, then 2-3 paramedics and SFD arriving. We figured it had to be something like a shooting. What a shame.

@WSB do we know if they apprehended the shooter? We did not see anyone taken into custody.

The shooting never ends. The gun violence is mind boggling….how can shooting another person be a solution to a problem? The shooter has only made the problem bigger. How can all these shooters be educated to learn about different solutions rather than using gun violence????
