TRAFFIC/TRANSIT TODAY: Wednesday, aka Delridge repaving project eve

(Live view from the east-facing WS Bridge camera; see other cameras on the WSB Traffic page)
5:44 AM: After a blustery night, this might be a mellower morning – the forecast calls for the storm to settle down.

And another reminder of the Delridge repaving project starting tomorrow – last night, SDOT sent more information about the southbound detour that will be in place for the first phase of the project, lasting about two months; see it here.

7:31 AM: The “mellower” weather will have to wait a few hours – the National Weather Service has just issued an alert that heavy rain will continue at least the rest of the heart of the commute, till 9 am.

Fauntleroy sign says 19 minutes to the stadiums at 7:39am. Slow going.

The 6:30 56X broke down. Those people at the start who could see probably hopped on the 50. Of course those of us on the route just got wetter and colder. A replacement coach came but is was 1/4 of the usual number of riders. So I imagine most of the 50 bus riders got off at the Junction and scrummed into the RR C. We did get picked up 15 minutes late but it would be the morning of heavy downpour…

Lower bridge is closed right now and traffic is backed up on Delridge. Tough commute today.

Another slow trip on the 120. I wonder if the drivers I’ve had are new or covering for others on vacation because they are NOT using the bus lane on the bridge..

Sorry, comment time is over.
