displacedcoastieMemberI have some family coming in this week and would love to take them for a great prime rib dinner. I know about most of the big name spots downtown, but I was hoping there would be something in West Seattle that is kid friendly and can offer a good prime rib. Any suggestions?

JustSarahParticipantJaK’s is delicious, and I *think* is kid-friendly.

KenParticipantCostco had a pretty good looking selection of prime rib eye and whole rib eye to make your own. I can’t afford it now but I used to buy for a steakhouse (in another galaxy far far away)And these look good.
And doing it yourself is pretty easy as long as you have a probe thermometer and allow for carryover.

QueMemberYes, Jak’s is kid friendly. Our daughter loves it. They have a small kid’s menu, and then I usually supplement it with food from my plate, because the servings there are on the large side. :-)

celeste17ParticipantOn Thursday’s, the Chelan Cafe serves Prime Rib, salad and a potato. Sitting in the dining room is nice and sometimes on Friday’s (depending on what they have leftover)sometimes they will make prime rib dinner. Just don’t wait to late to go or they might be out.

cMemberJak’s does not serve prime rib. Excellent steaks but no prime rib.

dawsonctParticipantDo not go to Rock Salt (Lk. Union), unless institutional buffet food at premium restaurant prices appeals to you.

hollyplaceParticipantI believe Jak’s does serve it, but just on Mondays. We were there Friday and it mentioned it on one of the specials chalkboards – my husband made mention of it. Jak’s steaks are delish, so I would think they would know how to do prime rib.

JoBParticipantcheck out jaks..
we took my sister and her husband there last month and they haven’t stopped raving about the food, the service or the space yet.
btw.. we grilled prime fillets in AZ last week…
melt in your mouth wonderful!
I am considering getting the Costco prime and thick slicing it for steaks…
a lot cheaper and i am betting they will be every bit as good.
