JoBParticipanti found an interesting website that has a quiz you take to match your issues to a candidate.
http://digg.com/2008_us_elections/Which_2008_Presidential_Candidate_best_matches_you_on_the_issues
I encourage you all to go take the quiz.
I was surprised to find that i matched Obama by 85% and Hillary by only 83%.
Makes me feel better about the fact that i think Obama is more likely to get the nomination…

TheHouseMemberIt figures that liberals need to take an Internet quiz to figure out which candidate they need to vote for. Since most liberals values are “moving targets”, you probably should take the test again tomorrow. You’ll probably score differently.
Please make sure you send President Bush a Thank You card for the $600 check you’re going to receive in a few months!

JoBParticipantHouse, house, house….
and i thought maybe we could be friends.
i didn’t need to take a quiz to find out what i already knew, that the two democratic candidates for President were well aligned on the issues.
But, since you thought John McCain was so liberal, it may surprise YOU to know that he only matched me by 37%.
Probably not my candidate… or any other liberal who actually cares about the issues.
But thanks for looking out for us;-)

JanSParticipantThe Republican way…give ’em a few hundred dollars, and they’ll be quiet and leave us alone…do you really think this is the answer?
Did you look at the quiz? You should take it, just out of curiosity, and then tell us how off the mark they are as far as you’re concerned…oh, come on…just for the fun of it… :p

JoBParticipanthouse, i should have read first…
do you realize there was only a 19 point difference in your score between Romney and Gore?
Have you been harboring liberal thoughts on us;-)

TheHouseMemberJoBI am very much a fiscal conservative. The reaosn why this quiz brought me closer to liberal status was my stance on marijuana (I believe it should be leagalized despite the fact that I’ve never used it in my life…that is a fact) and my environmental views (although I do not believe that Global Warming is the major issue that it is being made out to be).
A 19 point spread is consideralble anyway.

JoBParticipanthouse…
cudos on your stand on marijuana.. makes sense for a fiscal conservative.
and glad you are pro environment…
but have to wonder how you don’t think Global Warming is a major issue.

sanMemberOh house.
You make me giggle. You know that feeling you get when someone acts like an ass, and you end up a bit embarrassed for them? I hadn’t experienced that in a while, and got lucky today while reading your posts. Thanks for making my day, even though you seem to have no clue why.
February 5, 2008 at 10:31 pm #614774
AnonymousInactiveI can pretty much guarantee that House knew Colbert was a joke (I scored almost exactly the same). Stop ganging up on people! Is that all that happens on this blog? If you have read any of House’s posts you would realize that he is not an “ass”, san. I rather enjoy both House and JoB posts. They both have intelligent things to say, it seems. Why are liberals always so defensive and argumentative (excluding JoB) If you all look back at all the posts, are you really happy with the way you are all portraying yourselves? So mean-spirited!

sanMemberNew Resident-
Somehow I knew you you couldn’t resist piping in. I can hardly begin to accept reprimand from you. Anyone who refers to Ann Coulter as ” an intellignet woman” who “should be applauded”, would surely be the one who could who would recognize a “mean-spirited” person. It’s funny how you blab about how wrong it is to gang up on people on this blog. Yet, this post is not the first that you have stated your thoughts about how “most liberals you’ve met are too defensive and argumentative.” Nice generalization for someone who is worried about the way we all portray ourselves. Grow a leg to stand on, then we’ll talk, friend.

WSMomParticipantoooh, AlkiKmac, a true conspiracy theorist? You may be on to something…
February 5, 2008 at 11:37 pm #614778
AnonymousInactiveUm, san, hate to break it to you, but my comments that you have in quotes there, were in direct response to me being lashed out at for no reason. Maybe do a little research, then we’ll talk, friend. Oops, sorry, I was quoting you there.
February 5, 2008 at 11:39 pm #614779
AnonymousInactiveBtw, JanS… you seem a little ungrateful and unhappy about the money coming to you. If it would make you feel better, I can take it off your hands!

AlkiKmacParticipantI’ve had the theory since “West Seattle Mom looking for P/T job”. And, someone knows a bit too much site history for being new to the area & blog.

Get out of my brain! :)
New Res-
remember what i said earlier about feeling embarrassed for others? . . . .
February 5, 2008 at 11:54 pm #614782
AnonymousInactiveEmbarrassed? For what, san? I know who I am. I know that I just moved to Seattle 3 months ago and joined this blog last week. I must say that it is quite a compliment, though, that people assume I’ve lived here for awhile and been on this blog for awhile. Thanks, you guys.
February 5, 2008 at 11:59 pm #614783
sanMemberWhatever you gotta tell yourself sweetie!
February 6, 2008 at 12:51 am #614784
AnonymousInactiveHa Ha! You guys sure are angry here in Seattle. I wonder if it’s the weather. Maybe there is something to that “Seattle Freeze”!
February 6, 2008 at 12:56 am #614785
AnonymousInactiveBtw, san I noticed you haven’t participated in any part of this thread, except to lash out at me. Do you not have anything worthy to say? Do you not have any intelligent views on any issues discussed? Or any of your OWN opinions?
February 6, 2008 at 2:03 am #614786
sanMemberGrow up NEWRES. You’re not winning your little battle. No one gives a rip about what you have to say. You’ve managed to make yourself look smaller and smaller, so just quit while you still have a shred of dignity left. You might notice just how often you are “lashed out” at. Btw, when you go and change your name again, try something creative.
February 6, 2008 at 2:19 am #614787
AnonymousInactiveI thought the the same thing about NewRes and lattemom. I noticed lattemom had stopped blogging right when NR started up. And it’s amazing how they both speak with exactly the same tone and self-righteousness. If you’ll notice, they can’t hardly control themselves and have to make comment after comment in a row, about nothing.
