I’m sure that’s not the right way to put it but has anyone had any experience with any place in particular in West Seattle to get their dog “serviced”. Ours needs a full service -a bath, nails clipped, etc – can anyone recommend good price and good service?

yumpearsParticipantThis is one area where we have NOT found a place in West Seattle. A while back we read through the recommendations on the blog and made some phone calls. After 3 or 4 places telling me they would want more then $75-100 to bathe my Newfoundland we decided to try Petdaddy up by Green Lake. We are so happy with their services. We take our dog for a bath, they clean her ears and trim her nails and will even trim her fur (not a full haircut mind you) for $32!! She is beautiful and happy when she’s done and they always add a little yellow bow around her neck. There is a great bar across the street so we get to relax and have beer/food while we wait.
So if you find nothing satisfactory in West Seattle I highly recommend Petdaddy (www.petdaddy.com).

BayouMemberI have been very happy with the service and price at Canine Casa, which is across the parking lot from Endolyne Joe’s. They are great with my shiba, who can be a little neurotic at times when it comes to baths. http://caninecasa.net/
I’ve also used The Wash Dog, across the street from the Beveridge Place. However, I must warn that parking can be a bit of a pain there.

livingonthebeachMemberThe Wash Dog is great. I like the fact I can was the little dude on my own and they will do nails if I needs, or I can have them do a full groom. My American Eskimo full groom is usually $50 or so.
Also, I found a secret to parking, they have a lot in the back off the alley, always spots available.

AlkiKmacParticipantYumpears – If you’re paying $32 (before tip) to have an adult Newfoundland groomed, with light fur trimming, you’re extremely lucky and under paying.
To the OP – I second Canine Casa and The Wash Dog.

andreaParticipantI love The Wash Dog for the self washing capabilities and the wonderful people that work there…I have a Siberian Husky and I haven’t found anywhere that does a full grooming for him and his copious amounts of fur for less than $50…I also really like the groomers at Stella Ruffingtons. They too are super nice and extra careful with my dogs.

yumpearsParticipantAlkimac – I know! We tip big because we appreciate it. If you look at petdaddy.com you’ll see that a bath with nails trimmed is $32 for all dogs.

KevinParticipantOur little Yorkshire Terrier will try anything to avoid a trip to Canine Casa.

missmandyMemberI have to second, or third, Canine Casa. We have taken our large Golden to just about every groomer in WS and we like Canine Casa the best. They are always able to get him in with short notice, do a great job and their prices are very reasonable. Last week we took him in for a full service wash with a summer hair cut and it was only $65.

luludogMemberI’ve been taking my dog to Mutley Crew Cuts on California for the past 6 months and have been very happy with them. Kelly, the owner, is great and I always feel like my dog is loved and cared for and the prices are as reasonable as any others.

beachdrivegirlParticipantI just signed my dogs up for some “cuts” at Stella’s next week. I’ll let you all know how it goes next week. They were super nice today though when I brought them in for introduction etc.

kmMemberCanine Casa is awesome with my two girls! I have an 85 pound, pit-lab mix that has REALLY bad allergies and Canine Casa takes the best care of her. The oatmeal baths completely calm down her itching for a couple of weeks. Also, they took great care of my extremely nervous, VERY hairy 85 pound german shepherd-lab mix too! They didn’t even make her feel bad for nervously piddling all over their floor when I dropped her off. And to top it off, I forgot that they weren’t accepting cards for the $5 nail trimmings and they let me just pay them back the next time I was in. Such a nice group down there. I tell all my dog-owning friends about this place and will never switch to any place else.
