If you’re looking to adopt a dog, KHS has a great selection. I know, as we volunteer dog-walk there on Saturdays. Gorgeous ride over on the Bremerton ferry, then a ten-minute drive. They’re constantly bringing in new dogs (many rescued from E. Washington/California), and what wonderful pups–many small, many on the site who my daughter and I have personally met/walked/been amazed by. Thought I’d put it out there, as the Seattle Humane Society has a smaller selection, and Kitsap really is a nice jaunt and needs adopters.

I have to BUMP this. They are also VERY pro active in the TNR program.

This makes me so happy. It’s nice to hear my old stomping grounds are doing a good job. Rural areas can have a tough time adopting out and know nothing about TNR. Makes me happy.
