Shy, wall flower types will probably not like the atmosphere, as we require you to start and maintain customer interactions.
We are looking for a full time person 30-40 hours a week, this position may include one weekend day. These are long term positions, at least 12 months or longer, as it takes a while to get trained and able to be help customers independently. Pay starts at $21.30 but is negotiable based on experience. We also offer bonuses based on store sales. PTO accumulation starts the day you start. We also have an employee discount, and a separate family discount. Free race entries for all races we sponsor, and it’s a pretty cool atmosphere to work in, as most customers are happy to be here.

Please drop off a resume in person at the store. We do not respond to emailed resumes unless we have directed you to send it.

The interview will be done during a 3 mile run, so if you get called back, be ready to tell us your favorite 3 mile route! Don’t worry about pace, we will keep it slow (11-12 minute miles) so we can chat.

If you have questions, please drop in and ask them.

    Hi Carrington,

My name is Najma and I’m based in Seattle. I came across your post about the studio assistant role and was really excited by the opportunity to support the inner workings of an active art practice.

My background is in operations, branding, and project coordination. I co-founded a design and branding studio and have spent the past several years organizing programs, managing logistics, and building systems that help creative projects run smoothly. I really enjoy the behind-the-scenes work of creating structure, managing workflows, and supporting a creative vision.

I’m also someone who appreciates art and storytelling, so the chance to contribute to a growing studio environment feels especially exciting. I’d love to learn more about your current projects and how I could help support the studio’s day-to-day operations.

    Looking forward to connecting.

    Hi Carrington

I’m a local artist and nonprofit administrator here in West Seattle. For the past few years, I’ve been managing a local nonprofit community theatre, “Blue Hour Theatre Group“. I produce marketing materials, secure grants, and run front-of-house during performances. I love working directly with patrons, cast, and crew, ensuring they have a good experience and feel taken care of from start to finish.

Most recently, I designed the new website for the West Seattle Art Tour. I also design sites and assist with social media marketing for individual artists and small businesses.

I believe my background working behind the scenes, along with my passion for the arts, align nicely with your needs.

    Hello Carrington & team,

My name is Christopher Parks and I would love to be considered for your studio assistant position. I grew up here in Seattle, and currently manage a bakery in Wallingford. I have spent many years making art, I had an amazing teacher in prep school who first fostered a great love for all mediums(but watercolor is my favorite). I went to the summer program at RISD, did a stint at Cornish and have spent many hours in the different programs available here in Seattle. I have always loved the beautiful mix of artists here in the PNW, and would love to get to work alongside you! I have strong organization and inventory skills from 10+ years in the food industry but am looking to pivot back to art as my main focus in my day to day. Thank you for your time!

A great option for a memorable kid’s party cake is to focus on something fun and collectible, not just the cake itself. Camp Hollow offers whimsical cake toppers like the Pink Goose, crafted from hand-painted porcelain, which can really elevate a simple cake and make it the centerpiece of the party. These toppers are heirloom-quality and come in a gift box, so even after the cake is gone, it becomes a keepsake. Pairing a standard bakery cake sized for 20–25 people with a playful Camp Hollow topper adds both charm and personality without relying on overly sweet or generic options. It’s also perfect for a theme party or any celebration where kids will love the fun detail.

Hello! We’ve boarded our almost 20-year-old green cheek conure at Denise’s Parrot Place (myparrot.com) most of his life. It’s on Mercer Island, but that’s the closest place that our vet will recommend and they’ve always been wonderful—and Mercer Is isn’t all that far. We’ve also boarded at Mochi’s Tree House but that’s up in Bothell, which IS far from West Seattle, but they’re also great! Currently Denise’s is building out in their new space so it feels a bit more rough around the edges (there was a fire in the strip mall down the street where they were originally for years, they had smoke damage, they had to keep the business going for the parrots so they found a new unfinished space quickly). Anyway, we love them, plus there’s a great bakery a couple of storefronts down! Good luck!

Hoping to find a regular handyman for a series of projects around the house. It has to be someone who’s comfortable working along me and my hubby. First needs are next week on Thursday and Friday, the 19th and 20th – helping hubby move furniture downstairs (dressers, nightstands, mattress, and bed) and then starting demo of our upstairs (large bedroom, small bedroom, hall, tiny bathroom, partial chimney stack). Once we find the right person, there will be many other days of work as the house is going to be a nearly total gut job, broken up into phases and then built back again. Hubby can handle the electrical, but we’d love a hand with framing, drywall, and many other things.

This house is from 1917. Who knows what we’ll find when we tear it apart? There’s no insulation in the walls, some old knob and tube upstairs, literally no idea what else we’ll find.

We value knowledge, flexibility, and patience.

Please email me to reply: shopattack@pm.me – Thanks! Christy
