West Seattle Christian Church Preschool ‘closing sale’ tomorrow

West Seattle Christian Church‘s preschool has closed, and tomorrow they’re having a public “clearing out” sale, selling preschool-aged curriculum items, supplies, and furniture, according to Pastor Dan Jacobs.

Cash or check only, 10 am-2 pm Wednesday at 4425 41st SW. He says the church hasn’t yet decided on the future of the former preschool space.

Rent it out to another great preschool (co-op?)! There are so many preschools in W Sea w LONG wait lists!

Great idea, NW Mama. I know a co-op looking for a new space (Arbor Heights co-op).

I would love to see more full-time preschool/Pre-K options in WS. We toured some schools with 100+ families on the waiting list.

I am SUPER sad that the preschool is closing. both of my boys attended and it was an amazing school. I agree with the comments above about letting another preschool use the space- it is an awesome location!

We just opened a Pre K in West Seattle. We have 10 out of 42 spaces left if anyone needs a spot.

Sad to see this go. This is where I went to Pre K through 7th grade. West Seattle Christian was an excellent school!

I grew up at WSCS. Those classrooms were my 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades. I went to school there from Kindergarten through 6th grade, many years after leaving WSCS was one of the BEST schools in Western Wa, going all the way to 8th grade. I can attest to that, by the time I was in 6th grade, I was reading at college level. The academics and genuine care for children was outstanding. I don’t want anything to happen to my elementary school, I wish it were still in operation. It’s desecration thinking it could be anything but a wonderful school. I don’t really understand why the school closed – the answer I got was not satisfactory. Also, whatever happened to Leviticus? I still remember the contest when he was named our school mascot. Anyone who went there would remember Audrey, the school secretary. I loved subbing for her at lunch when I was in 5th & 6th grade. It turns out, I’m going to be a school secretary myself this next year (2013-14)…Please don’t pack off and parcel out the school.

Sorry, comment time is over.
