Discolored water? Here’s what to do

Susan e-mailed from Pigeon Point to ask if anyone else is having a problem with discolored water this morning. It happens in various places at various times, so we wanted to share the Seattle Public Utilities link advising what to do if it happens to you – see it here.

If fire hydrants have been used near by this could be the cause as well. Run your water for a while and it’ll clear out.

Yes my water has been cloudy, i noticed it the other day and asked my husband. He thought maybe someone was working on lines somewhere by us. We live on 50th and SW Alaska.

Yes, my water had a brown tint to it yesterday. Called SPU and they said they would send a crew to flush out the line in the evening. Today my water is clear. I’m at 44th & Oregon.

Sorry, comment time is over.
