West Seattle snow: More amazing creations

We’ve been spotlighting some of the most amazing creations we’ve received photos of – the ice sculpture with the fish and the Alki “waterfront condo” – and now, thanks to Stephen Hughes-Jelen in High Point, the snow fort. He says it’s at the “current dead end of High Point Drive.” Also, SR sent us a neighbor’s “Snow Jesus,” photographed on 34th between Barton and Roxbury:

ADDED TUESDAY AFTERNOON: Patty sent this and says James from West Seattle Fence “can’t build fences (right now) but can build a snowman” … 52nd/Genesee.

Awesome! On the way home today, I was just thinking that I wanted to try and make some type of snow structure to crawl into. I can’t tell just how large that fort is but it looks like some decent cover in a good snowball fight.

Wow! Those are gorgeous. There is also, by the way, an exceptionally fabulous igloo in Fauntleroy Park.

i was seriously considering making a simple snow person — the kind 8 year-olds make. if i get over my competitive anxiety, i may still do it :-)

The amazing thing is that the Jesus isn’t even a sculpture — the snow just fell that way!

Check out the 8 foot tall snowman I made with my boyfriend out on Fauntleroy right south of the south parking lot on the east side of the street! Its being featured in the Seattle PI!! wow, what great monuments! mine’s just a mountain with ice fragments on the bottom you might notice when driving by on 35th and juneau (southbound). my dad helped shovel and my mom drew the lines in it. it was a good family project. a great chance for everyone to do something!

let’s line 35th ave with snowpeople/things/blobs! anybody up for it?
