Come celebrate Volunteer Day by helping to improve trails in Puget Park this Sunday April 7th from 9-noon. Community support is needed for this month’s work party, we will construct a log and gravel ramp to smooth a steep muddy transition on the trail that leads to the bench near the ramp constructed last season.

Several neighbors have come together to lead this Puget Ridge family friendly community event. Please stop by and give whatever time you have, every little bits helps, even just swing by to say “thank you”. Our presence and participation at this event demonstrates to Seattle Parks that we care and appreciate improvements they are making to the parks in our neighborhood.

During the last event, 13 people volunteered and we made an incredible amount of progress, planting about 300 natives plants along the trail and raking the gravel trail clean. We depend on our community volunteers to make this happen.

The next work party will be from 9-noon Sunday April 7th. We will meet at the entrance to Puget Park at 19th and SW Dawson, approximately 1900 Southwest Dawson. Bring sturdy shoes, gloves, and water. Tools and wheelbarrows will be provided.

Thank you!
Friends of Puget Park
