Help fight hate in your neighborhood! Join a free (donations accepted) workshop in Bystander Intervention – the art and science of safely de-escalating tense or hate-filled situations.

Anti-Hate Alaska Junction works to reduce hate in our neighborhood by providing Bystander Intervention Workshops. The leader reviews brain science, including the reality of emotional responses, their effect on brain chemistry and the resulting triggering of our fight/flight/freeze survival responses. Participants apply new knowledge and practice new skills by running scenarios of hate-based interactions with the goal of de-escalating the situation. Working as an aggressor, a target, or an intervening bystander, participants learn by doing, not by listening.
