Knowing Your Rights in the Trump Era
Our pre-meeting program will be one you won’t want to miss. We have often associated the need for Knowing Your Rights and getting information and resources with immigrants and undocumented workers. But the truth is that the current administration has “flooded the zone” with a tsunami of Executive Orders that is putting the rights of many more folks at risk. The rights of LGBTQ+, people of color, government workers and civil servants, those who speak out publicly in peaceful protest, members of the Jewish and Muslim communities, women, elders. Suddenly that means that many more of us are looking for answers and ways to protect ourselves — and even if you aren’t personally feeling any direct affects from the devastation of Trump and Musk, you most probably know someone who is. Join us on Wednesday April 9th at 6 pm for our pre-meeting program that will offer some perspective and resources that you can utilize to make sure that you and those in your community who are being directly targeted by the actions imposed by Trump and Musk have some protections.
