I’m unsurprised. The water was tranquil this morning and the high winds that kicked up were not, I think, expected.

A small craft advisory has been in effect for winds 15-25 knots since late this morning on NOAA’s marine web site (also broadcast on VHF radio) – anyone can get caught off guard but it’s prudent for any mariner to check the marine forecast prior to setting sail!  https://forecast.weather.gov/shmrn.php?mz=pzz135&syn=pzz100
