VIADUCT INSPECTION OVER: Early reopening; no Sunday closure

WSDOT just announced that – as often happens – the Alaskan Way Viaduct inspection has ended early. So Highway 99 is back to being fully open (as of 5 pm), AND no closure Sunday.

Glad it’s good news! Funny thing is that while we don’t go downtown that often, co-publisher Patrick attended an all-day Society of Professional Journalists event downtown today – taking him there via WS Bridge to 4th this morning was easy but getting back to pick him up in the afternoon was laborious due to clogs on the bridge and 4th; just half an hour after we got back came the news that it was over. -TR
