Election 2009: See the candidates in the Video Voters’ Guide

checkbox.jpgPlanning to vote early, now that ballots are arriving for the biggest election King County’s ever conducted entirely by mail (which is how they’ll all be done from now on)? If you’d like to see and hear the candidates in key races, the county-produced Video Voters’ Guide has King County Executive candidates here ; and Seattle city races (plus bag-fee Referendum 1) here.

Any word yet on a comparison of candidates positions on West Seattle issues? (Like the tunnel, the water taxi etc…)

I’ve been working on the water taxi separately, particularly re: claims that Susan Hutchison would keep the West Seattle and Vashon runs but not the King County Ferry District, which in turn begs the question, then how would the runs be funded? Second day, no reply. (Though two people have forwarded us replies they received. Not addressing that question, however.) We have been running pieces on all the city council candidates, meantime, asking them the same three questions re: development, transportation, jail, in a WS prism – another one up tonight.
