Another weekend has arrived, as has the month in which fall will begin. Yard-sale season is in its ebb tide. This weekend, will we find another round of creative signs like this memorable WS campaign last weekend? Let us know if you see anything double-take-worthy. Meantime, though we do not (yet) routinely feature yard sales, we heard from someone whose 1-day sale on Fauntleroy today sounds intriguing …

When we received the original e-mail asking if we would consider mentioning this sale, we wrote back to explain that we do not yet have a yard-sale section but perhaps if there’s anything unique about what they’re selling, we could find a reason to mention it. Here’s part of what we got back:

We just moved to Seattle and combined two households into one. Needless to say, WE HAVE TOO MUCH STUFF and a lot of duplicates so we are having our first resort garage sale.

Being a graphic designer, I have some pretty cool stuff since my engine runs on aesthetics.

There are a lot of household items and some furniture, a very stylish solid wood Spanish style coffee table I bought from Macys, some high quality catering pans and dishes (I used to cater on the side), books, CD’s, framed art, household decorative items, some electronics, tools, some kitty items, clothes, anabolic steroids (just kidding), garden items, knick knacks, champagne flutes, vases, decorative bird cage, art supplies, etc, etc, etc.

We’re just a few blocks away from C&P Coffee so a cuppa java and a stroll by could be worth the while of our West Seattle neighbors.

The address: 5941 Fauntleroy SW. The time: 10 am-4 pm today.
