West Seattle Crime Watch: 2 hit-and-runs vs. parked cars

Two more hit-run crashes in the past several days – one in Admiral, one in Highland Park – read on:

Ann wasn’t gone for long on Tuesday afternoon, but long enough for this to happen:

I came home (Tuesday) to find the back end of my black VW wagon smashed in. I had walked over to Lafayette to pick up my son from the last day of school and was gone from 1:15-2:30, must have happened in that time frame. I haven’t found anyone that heard or saw anything yet. Looks like a blue car must’ve come around the corner from Admiral and side swiped the back side pushing it into the curb and totaling the back left panel and tail end. I’ve reported it to the police. Given the amount of damage and blue paint on my car, I’m guessing the other car has some significant damage as well. If you see a blue car or truck with recent unexplained damage please report it to the Seattle Police. I’m just glad no one was hurt, there are lots of kids on this street (not to mention the school yard) and clearly the car was out of control.

And while we haven’t found any further information, we wanted to note what we heard from Marcy early Sunday:

Exactly 2 weeks after our car was totaled in a hit and run, a neighbor’s parked car was just hit at Highland Park and SW Holden.

She sent a photo:

What happened to Marcy’s car two weeks earlier was part of this story that also included a followup on another SW Holden crash.
