Proletariat PizzaMemberHello!
We just acquired a push mower, and boy, does it need to be sharpened!! Anyone know of someone in WS who does this sort of thing?
Thanks!

ahmomParticipantI brought my push mower to McLendon’s and they sent it to a guy who sharpens things. He did an awesome job! It cost me $50 becuase there are 5 blades ($10/blade). You have to get it to McLendon’s by 10ish on Tuesday and they get it back the following Tuesday. Well worth the money!

GenHillOneParticipantWe used Champion/Jeff a couple of months ago (in that old thread). Mower works great now!

nighthawkParticipantI took my regular mower blade to the Sharp Shop Inc.
They are down off E. Marginal other side of the Duwamish. I would guess they would do push mowers too.

ghar72ParticipantThere’s a guy down Ambaum behind the McDonalds who does mower sharpening. I’m pretty certain that’s who Mclendons sends their stuff to. Don’t know his name or number, but found him through WC Tool Rental. The owner could give you the info I’m sure. Really nice guy, works out of his house w/his son. I think it cost us $35, but not sure. Been at least a year, maybe two.

KenParticipantUse a socket and this sharpening compound with your drill on slow. Or just reverse the handle and push it backwards until the compound changes color.

The compound is just valve grinding compound
