2 Much WhineParticipantTram’s on California is always a local favorite and I saw a two year old boy (a guess) there on Saturday sitting on his mom’s lap while his hair was cut. No tears and the stylist was quite adept at cutting the hair of a moving, slightly restless little head.

JustSarahParticipantWe really like Columbia City Cuts on Rainier. Obviously not West Seattle, and admittedly it’s a little pricey for a kids’ cut, but they do a great job and are good with kids. Dinner at the family Mexican restaurant across the street is a bonus.

jMemberWe’ve been all over (Dooz in Bellevue, West Seattle Kids, Supercuts, and Tram’s) and we have found Tram’s to be excellent. My daughter just turned 4 and she started going to Tram’s at 3. We’ve had several cuts there with different stylists and all have been fantastic. I personally go to Tram for my own hair and she is amazing (and she loves kids). Every time we go, I always feel like I should have set up and appointment with Tram for my daughter, but I’ve never been disappointed. All the kid salons seem extremely over priced and I have been not as satisfied because I feel like I’m not getting what I paid for.

MrsLMemberThanks! I was wondering about the various kid salons whether they were worth it. I was thinking about Super cuts but I’ll give Tram’s a try.

KatieKParticipantHi, MrsL,
We have recently switched over to Seasons salon, just across from the Safeway in Jefferson square. They have been careful, fast, and the cost is $12. They even have a firetruck seat, which my 2 year old loves.
Good luck!

ellenaterMemberI have to disagree with Season’s. That was our spot for years but their cuts got spotty–literally. Several times. :( Also didn’t like Super Cuts. We tried Budget Cuts and liked them. I have also heard good things about Tram’s.
Don’t forget to save a swatch of hair! :)

minionMemberTram’s. I don’t have kids. But I have love getting my hair done there, and have personally observed Tram and her staff working with children. LOTS of Children. They seem like they are really good about asking parents for input and if it’s “short enough” or if they want “a little more” taken off.
