WSBKeymasterRecommendations appreciated.
One of our cats, who is at least 13 years old (they said she was 2 when we adopted her from the city via a foster home, but we’re not so sure – she currently seems a little more elderly), is getting skinny and has a few other possible symptoms that we would like to ask a vet about.
She has not been to a vet (or left the house for any reason) in a very long time – and we do not want to put her in a carrier and stress her out to drive her to one – it’s not an emergency, but we are starting to worry. So we’d like to have somebody visit.
Before I start making cold calls, I wonder if the many wonderful animal experts here in the Forums can suggest someone, particularly one that might be especially good with a senior cat.
Thanks
Tracy, on behalf of Sweetie the tortie

LenaParticipantWhile I have not met her in person, we have good friends who worked with Dr. Anna Kihara for their senior cat and were extremely happy – they had her out a number of times and in the end she came out when they were ready to say goodbye. http://www.doctorannakihara.com/Kihara%20Veterinary%20Serives/Welcome%20.html

WSBKeymasterThank you, Lena and Diana. Sweetie, who often sits on the armrest to my left as I write for and edit WSB throughout the days and nights, thanks you too. – TR

amaliaParticipantIn case you’re still looking, the vets at Lien do at least the Final House Call. Not sure about non-euthanasia, but they are so great that I thought I’d toss their name in.

B-squaredParticipantI second the recommendation for Dr. Anna Kihara. She came out and guided Spartacus on his way in the end. I didn’t know she did non-final visits though. Good to know. She was awesome!

TanDLParticipantDr. Mikel Oswalt 232 – 6205. She was recommended by Lien for us a couple of years ago and she was wonderful.

LenaParticipantJust FYI – Lien only does house calls for animals who are already clients and only for euthanasia. Elise Holt is based in Shoreline and does not take new clients in West Seattle – she is mostly acupuncture like me and most of the time is closed to new clients anywhere.

CTNativeParticipantWe second Dr Aimee Castor owner of City cat Mobile vet. 206 325 3127. She was actually here yesterday. Was very kind and caring with both cats and their anxious two legged mom. Basil is 18!!!

HunterGParticipantI third dr. Aimee from city cat mobile vet. She is amazing. She was who I chose to help me release my 17 year old baby to peace. I do not have enough good things to say about her and her services.
