SueParticipantOlympia Pizza & Pasta on Delridge has a sign up that they now have gluten free pizza and pasta available. Haven’t been there, but saw the sign.
Phoenecia also good gluten free options, but I’m sure they’re a zoo on a Saturday night and noisy as hell (I know that can affect you, which is why I mention it).
I was going to suggest Chaco Canyon too. And my husband just mentioned that Elliot Bay has gluten free beer.
Not WS, but the Gluten Free Girl website was recently raving about Cuoco (a Tom Douglas restaurant) on South Lake Union, that they have gf pasta. They’re using Manini’s which I’ve bought at the farmers market and PCC and it’s amazing.

stinaParticipantFresh Bistro is really accommodating with food allergies and gluten issues.
Also, I’ve had the gluten-free crust from Olympia and it’s good.

RarelyEverParticipantCall Blackboard Bistro and ask them if they can accommodate your GF friends… with a little notice they are happy to do it, and their food is creative and fantastic; I guarantee your friends will be impressed!

OrobMemberBang Bar is Gluten Free friendly, and carry gluten free soy sauce. The Mission is gluten free friendly. Talaricos has gluten free indicators on their menu. Lucianos has gluten free pizza. I would also recommend Endolyne Joes – they have a complete Gluten Free menu.
I stopped in and tested out Fresh Bistro’s new gluten free menu recently and it is good as well.

dhgParticipantBuddha Ruksa: just ask and they’ll use gluten-free sauces.

LisaParticipantTuscan Tea Room is a fantastic place for Gluten Free diet folks! Owner Amie is Celiac and knows the diet inside and out… and the food is AMAZING!!!
We had GF Pizza from Lucciano’s last night and it was awesome (as it has been each time we’ve had it!) much to my delight!
Chaco Canyon is awesome for lunch (all soups are GF and you can get sandwiches on GF (and Vegan) Bread! Bread is ‘very crispy’ almost ‘cracker’ like but really good!

katiebeeParticipantWe love Endolyne Joe’s, but I wouldn’t take someone who is celiac there. I just don’t feel comfortable that they are prepping their food safely. For example, they have burger & fries on their GF menu. Burger comes on gluten free bun…but they do not fry their fries in a separate fryer.
La Rustica is also serving Manini’s GF pasta and it delicious!!!

OrobMemberGood point Katiebee. I went to Endolynes and asked them about their menu. I have celiac and the server knew right away that the fries would be not a choice for me. He said that the fries being offered as a side with the burger are a mistake on the menu and that for all of the other options fries have been substituted for a side salad on purpose. Hope they fix that typo.

timariaMemberLooks like the day of your gluten-free dinner has already passed, but if the need arises again, Manini’s pastas and breads are a great option and their website lists restaurants serving it, http://www.maninis.com. Their pastas, baked goods, and flours are also sold at the West Seattle Farmers Market and at PCC and Whole Foods.

JoBParticipantthanks to everyone who posted.
I had no idea we had so many West Seattle options
my gluten free friend visits fairly regularly so i will get around to using these suggestions
as it turned out.. we ate downtown at Ivars
at her husband’s request
as a graduate student he once got invited to dinner there with Kurt Vonnugut
We had a great meal
and ended up trading our brushes with greatness stories
Hubby once shared a plane with Jimmy Carter from either Portland or Seattle to Norita, Japan.
He said he was the hardest working man he had ever seen..
he worked non-stop on his laptop for the entire flight.
I’ll keep my stories to myself ;-)

I WonderMemberAdd Cactus to this list. Awesome choices, and the staff is very versed on celiac needs. Also, Angelina’s uses gluten free pasta.
