    kootch…

to get back to the pipeline…

you cite all those tankers that will have to traverse America to bring the oil to refineries on the gulf where American oil companies can make big money…

and then insinuate that not building the pipeline will force the canadians to tank their oil to BC where it can pollute the sound on it’s way.. where?

in the first place, there are American refineries much closer than New Orleans… though they don’t have the cheap shipping access that is available there…

but even if every drop of canadian oil “had” to be shipped to New Orleans… individual tanker accidents pale next to the damage from a pipeline leak…

the wreck of the Valdez may have made more headlines.. but it hasn’t done more environmental damage to Alaska than that pipeline someone keeps sticking a finger in to keep it from leaking.

Running a pipeline through America’s breadbasket and endangering our ability to produce the crops needed to feed our people won’t create autonomy for America.

I am sorry, but i don’t think oil profits are a good enough reason to put our entire nation at risk.

That’s precisely what he is trying to do. Break the country and force us all to be supplicants.

    oh.

so is that what reagan and bush were thinking when they racked up 4 trillion apiece in debt?

One more time redblack… congress spends it. Until this one… where the Senate won’t pass a budget. So Obama keeps dragging us to the brink of fiscal shutdown and gets his continuing resolution. BTY look at your man.. 4 Trillion in 3 years!! You talk out of your ass at times.. especially when the facts are verifiable.. Obama has spent more in less than three years…. vs GW did in eight.. Think of it… this way.. your Mastercard is loaning you 60 cents on each dollar they are going to charge ypu interest on… and you are maxxed out… but you are going to use it at the Tulalip casino hoping to get it back. Obamnomics.

Want to see a graph of it? I watched the Berhnenke hearings this morning… to paraphrase…. “if we cut the discretionary budget to zero… AND raised the marginal tax rate to 35 % on the top 10 per cent…AND capital gains to 39%… we will not reduce the deficit and it will continue to grow. Entitlements have to be cut. And that is your man’s water bucket carrier. And now .. better yet… he wants to take on 3 Trillion MORE in bad housing loans, raising a mere 12 billion in reserves from bank fees… for the FHA.. 12 billion to in reserves to cover a 3 Trillion dollar liability on top the 7-8 trillion they are holding now with less than 180 billion in reserves.. … for the taxpayer. Hell under Dodd Frank the banks themselves have to have at least a 10% reserve fund. Didn’t he learn a damn thing about underwriting bad loans? Now he wants to double down… !! Election time… where are the grown-ups in the room?

“In the first 19 months of the Obama administration, the federal debt held by the public increased by $2.5260 trillion, which is more than the cumulative total of the national debt held by the public that was amassed by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Ronald Reagan.”

and once again, kootch, POTUS writes it.

    here’s what i’m telling you: i don’t care.

i don’t care because it’s the only way you people will understand that we are not voting to cut social spending.

so. you want to pay down the debt?

    pay more taxes.

btw, bernanke is full of excrement.

    like this one?

obama’s little contribution looks kind of silly, doesn’t it?

also pay attention to that green line and the words above it.

so, as a percentage of GDP, the debt was higher after WW2. we paid that back with a high top marginal tax rate, then phased it out. we can pay this one back the same way.

no wonder the republican candidates aren’t yelling about the debt. if they do, obama will rip that club out of their hands and beat them to death with it.

you do realize don’t you that the a great deal of this was spending proposed by Bush and approved by congress long before Obama’s seat ever touched the chair?

    ironic, isn’t it.
