READER REPORT: Stuck truck in Admiral alley

Thanks to the texter who sent the photo and reports that the Coca-Cola truck has been blocking the alley between the Admiral CVS and Brookdale Admiral Heights for at least 45 minutes: “Coke truck is high-centered and can’t move forward or back.” (If you’ve used the Admiral CVS lot, you know the ramp on the west side is fairly steep.)

    What was the plan?

What bothers me the most about this is that they typically don’t even sell the glass bottle Coca-Cola (with cane sugar) en masse anymore so this truck is almost certainly not carrying what’s depicted on the decal.

I mean, if we want to talk about things that bother us: how about the complicity of the Coca Cola Company in hundreds of deaths in South America directly related to the sugar cane trade?

Couldn’t agree more. However if we’re *really* going to complain the contribution of coke to plastic pollution is off the charts and poisoning everything. Glass is far more sustainable.

Ok I’m throwing in the towel. Your progressive mind is too powerful.

Theres also the bottling plant built in the illegal settlement of Ararot, making them complicit in an ongoing war crime and Israeli apartheid.

Who cares about that ?? Has nothing to do with what happened. He obviously didn’t know where he was going.

From false advertising to plastic pollution to compliciency in war crimes and the many deaths connected to the sugar cane trade, CocaCola is clearly not a good company. Consumers would do well to avoid their products until they clean up their act. But that of course is far easier said than done. CocaCola owns a large number of popular beverage brands, including Barqs, Sprite, Simply, Dasani, Farlife, and Gold Peak.

    Stuff happens

  • Pamela February 27, 2026 (5:28 pm)

That happens somewhat frequently if there is a new driver who doesn’t know they have to go through alley and not Bartell’s (yeah,I know) parking lot.

That cvs and met market are s—-y to get in and deliver to. That driver should have stayed in the street and offloaded his goods

How did the truck become unstuck? Did the truck need to get unloaded so it might raise up a tad  and  then be able to move?

It appears he’s in a “tight spot.”    Did the truck and trailer ever get out of there, and if so, how?

  • Sam-c February 28, 2026 (7:34 am)

    Is it still there?

  • Rob February 28, 2026 (10:15 am)

Driver ” it’s what my GPS told me”

  • DaveB February 28, 2026 (12:32 pm)

The Coke truck is gone (I walked by not quite an hour ago), but now a U-Haul tuck has taken its place.

Separate story on that coming up! Thanks to those who’ve texted photos! Maybe a warning sign is called for…

Sorry, comment time is over.
