UPDATE: Fire response at Broadstone Sky in The Junction

3:50 PM: Big SFD response at Broadstone Sky Apartments, at 40th/Edmunds, but it’s already being downsized. Updates to come.

3:53 PM: SFD says there was a fire in a second-floor unit but the sprinkler system put it out. Firefighters are now checking inside the building, for water damage and carbon-monoxide readings.

4:07 PM: Firefighters confirm to our crew at the scene that no one was hurt and more units should be leaving the scene soon.

I swear it’s atleast once or twice a month that building has an alarm go off followed by a fire truck and ambulance presence…

LXVE, I live across 35th from Stewart Manor that is on 34th SW behind the Walgreens.. That building alarm goes of sometimes several times a day and every time here comes E 37 and L 13..  or a combo of them and another Engine/Ladder combo.. I can see all the outside alarm lights flashing and know here comes Seattle Fire..I would be so pissed living there.. trying to pack up 3 cats that many times..

That is no where near where Broadstone Sky is located.

I’ve lived in this building since 2016 and this is the first time there has been a SFD response like this. The fire alarm does not go off as often as others are saying. I don’t remember the last time the fire alarm has gone off before today. Be sure of your facts before you post.

Will I agree. I’ve lived at Sky for two + years and have heard the alarms maybe once before.  Not that often at all.

Yeah same here, been a resident since January 2017 and this was the biggest ever since. The alarm did go off a couple minutes earlier just now but for a short period of time perhaps 10 secs or so. Guess that was just a glitch.
